These great photos come from Joseph Pimental of Warren, RI. All the photos were taken in Bristol, RI on August 31, 1954 – the day that Hurricane Carol roared through Southern New England. You may recognize some familiar spots including the town common and area around State and Thames Street – home to many pubs in Bristol.
