Hurricane Fred up to 105 mph but it is more than 3500 miles away from us here in New England. The storm should stay well out in the Atlantic with no threat to any land areas. The rest of the tropics remain quiet for now.

Very weak tropical storm Erica moving toward The US Virgin Islands with heavy rain and some wind. The system remains very weak and could be down graded to a depression later today. There are no signs at this time of the system becoming a hurricane.

Tropical storm Erica like Danny is being sheared and is a very weak system. It will move slowly west over the next few days and is not expected to become a hurricane any time soon. Good News!

Danny is long gone and no longer tropical. The rest of the tropics are has a few waves way out in the Atlantic with no signs of delevopment at this time. Looks like a quiet week ahead…

Tropical storm Danny still not well organized. It will combine with an upper level and surface low to our west and bring mostly rain late tonight through tomorrow evening. Up to 4 inches possible across the area. Strong rip currents and rough seas will be a problem all weekend. The tropical storm winds will stay [...]

Tropical storm Danny looks less and less like it will ever become a hurricane but still could bring a lot of rain as a tropical storm as it passes east of the area on Saturday. We could see 2-4 inches of rain but little in the way of wind. Time will tell if it will [...]

Tropical Storm Danny has slowed and weakened a little with winds now closer to 50 mph. I should start to move more to the nnw and increase in speed tomorrow and then turn northeast on Saturday. Still could become a minimal hurricane for a short amount of time early Saturday. In any event as time [...]

TROPICAL STORM DANNY NOW UP TO 50MPH. IT IS MOVING NW AT 10MPH. IT IS HAVING A TOUGH TIME AS THE CENTER IS REMOVED FROM THE CONVECTION. THE MODELS STILL BRING IT NORTH AND THEN NORTHEAST PASSING EAST OF PROVIDENCE BY SOME100MI. SATURDAY NIGHT. IT COULD BRING TROPICAL RAINS HERE SATURDAY AFTERNOON ALONG WITH LARGE WAVES, [...]

TROPICAL STORM DANNY STILL OVER 1000 MILES SOUTH OF THE PROVIDENCE AREA. IT IS A WEAK SYSTEM RIGHT NOW BUT BEARS WATCHING. IT COULD BECOME A MINIMAL CAT 1 HURRICANE OVER THE NEXT 48 HOURS.
